“Flutter By Our Native Birds”
Bring the outside in with our range of iconic Flutter by Our Native Birds Limited Edition Print Collection. Starting with three designs, you will be able to add to your collection over time.
We start with the Tui whose predominantly black and dark blue feathers have an iridescent shine when the light catches him at the right angle. One of the most obvious features of the bird is the white tuft on its neck.
Fantails mesmerised me when I first came to New Zealand. These tiny little birds are named after their long tail that, as the name suggests, is often displayed fanned out. The fantail is common throughout New Zealand and you’ll likely hear a quiet ‘cheet cheet’ while walking along hiking trails.
Swooping majestically through our native trees is the Kereru, our mighty New Zealand wood pigeon. The Kereru is a large green and white bird that is common and widespread in New Zealand and a bird that plays an important roll in spreading seeds of native forest plants. You may see these birds flying loudly from tree to tree often in quite a clumsy manner as it’s thought that by eating partially rotted fruit they often get a little tipsy if they have a few too many fermented berries.
Dependent on style, the collection is available in either 42cm x 60cm or 59cm x 84cm. The Flutter By Our Native Birds Limited Edition Collection is printed on 300gsm premium very heavy 100% cotton fibre art paper with a smooth matte surface. It is bright white and is ideal for fine art printing of art where showing fine lines and detail is important. This paper has a rigid cotton feel and provides some amazing results.
Each Limited Edition print is supplied rolled in a custom made box or with an option of quality framing in wood, black or white, ready to hang.
There is only 25 of each style available, digitally signed by the artist
